Pippi Mamma’s Fish & Chips recipe

 

Ingredients

4 large baking potatoes, peeled except for a few spots and cut into French fry strips

2 1/2 pounds cod/halibut fillets, skinned with bones removed, and fish cut diagonally into 1-inch-wide strips (5 to 6-inches long)

 

Beer Batter:

1 (12-ounce) bottle beer

1 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup cornstarch

2 teaspoons sugar

2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons garlic salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

 

Tartar Sauce

Mayo

Sweet relish

Lemon juice

fresh cut dill
